Целта на този учебен материал е да представи перспективите на Европейския съюз в избрани държави членки и нечленки, като България, Хърватия, Полша, Румъния, Сърбия и Испания. Всеки национален принос се състои от две основни части:
Втората част представя два казуса, изобразяващи един въпрос, който е оказал значително влияние върху отношенията между конкретна държава и институции на ЕС. Освен това всяка част включва списък с препоръчителна литература за по-нататъшно обучение. Междувременно, предложените по-долу материали за четива се занимават с теоретично обяснение на връзката между общественото мнение и интеграцията в ЕС, ролята на общественото мнение в конкретна политика на ЕС, а именно въпроса за разширяването и миграционната политика.
Първата част се концентрира върху въздействието на въпросите на миграцията и разширяването върху възприятието за Европейския съюз.
