Module 1: Minorities and majorities

This module focuses on minorities and majorities, providing legal frameworks and highlighting country-specific issues in Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Spain.

It includes cases from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and other relevant situations at the national level.

The module further examines relevant local and national political initiatives, offering regional perspectives on the problem. It also covers theoretical studies and key concepts, alongside readings reflecting on the issue from an EU perspective.

Finally, the module aims to provide a comprehensive overview for comparative analysis and reflection on minority rights.

The main part of the training materials under this Module has been developed under the Erasmus+ Project ReNewEurope: “Rediscovering New Europe” On-Wheels Summer School for Balkan/Central and Eastern European trans-border history and politics (2020-1-PL01-KA203-081999).

The current final version has been updated by all partners to reflect the changing environment as well as to include the perspective of Spain in the analysis.
